Quiltfest 2009 The French Connection This was our first international exchange and we were not really sure what to expect, especially as the French group set the rules for the challenge. Our quilts have been to France on exhibition and now we have a chance to see how our friends across the Channel interpreted them.
All participants were given a piece of the same material, which had to be used and the finished piece had to measure 12” or 30cm square and include: an equilateral triangle: a curve or two and be embellished “to your heart’s content”.
Is there a difference or is Patchwork a universal language? There are 30 French “petit quilts” and 12 from Frodsham.
