2009 Exhibition
This year's exhibition was another success. Quiltfest started in 2002 and has gone from strength to strength. The aim has been to showcase the cutting edge of textile design and making and to enable quiltmakers in Wales and the Northwest of England to see work that may not normally be exhibited in the region.

Nikki Tinkler was the featured artist with 13 of her works on display. -
The group Hanging Together which is based in the South East of England exhibited a selection of pieces. -
In Response, which is a combination of an English group called Anglia Textile Works and a group from USA called Fiber Transformed, provided work inspired by Ely Cathedral.

Bethan Hughes from North Wales was invited to show her interpretation of the flooding of a Welsh village in 1965. -
Peaceful Hearts Quilt Group from Yamagata in Japan provided 8 hangings. -
A collection of 42 quilt blocks made as a challenge between Frodsham Ps and Qs and “France Patchwork” group from delegation du Rhone was on show. -
Kate Cawley exhibited 4 fabric sculptures.
There were over 1500 visitors, 2 Sunday openings in conjunction with an Antiques Fair and 10 top flight traders selling their wares on the Trading Bazaar Sunday.
