Today - so far, anyway - has been a good day! Three small hangings have arrived from Dieuwke Philpott who is one of the artists showing in the "Going Dutch" part of the Pavilion exhibition and then I went to Llangollen armed with supplies of flyers. Got a warm welcome from the staff in the Tourist Office, the library and the Pavilion and also from the volunteers in the Museum/ Gallery where Cestrian Quilters are to be exhibiting from 5th Feb - 5th March.
Quiltfest proper is open for only 11 days this year from 4th - 14th February. Some Bad Fairy has arranged it that the Quilting event in Greater Manchester clashes with our Workshop day on the 8th and the Trading Day on the 9th. Choices will have to be made! Compared with so many parts of the country, to say nothing of other countries, North East Wales has emerged relatively unscathed up to this point in time. For any who have not visited previously, the A5, a Roman road originally, passes through the town making it very accessible from all parts of the UK. Val Shields
